After a great success working with institutions, schools, students, and their parents from Cyprus who are needing assistance in the UK with their university and accommodation we were featured in the Cyprus Mail, one of the major news papers in the country and the biggest English written news in the country.
What is our Link to Cypriots studying in the UK?
Cyprus and the UK have had a strong link for many years, with a large amount of British living in Cyprus and vice versa, as well as a lot of Brit-Cypriot lving between the two countries. For Cypriot students, the change when living in the UK is not a large culture shock with many similarities between the including both countries driving on the left-hand side, Cypriot law system based off the UK justice system and English being spoken fluently throughout Cyprus and in particular in; Pafos, Limassol, Larcna and Aiya Napa.

We have since built strong links with the Cypriot community, strengthened with trips to Cyprus to meet student first-hand helping them on the beginning of their student accommodation search. What is the current climate for Cypriots studying in the UK?
It has been a tough climate for Cypriots studying in the UK and other EU students studying over the past few years with Brexit having an impact on fees for EU students and the Covd-19 pandemic which has made it hard for students to fly in and out of the UK. However, despite the challenges we are still seeing strong interest from Cyprus and the EU in students wanting to come to the UK and help on their accommodation.
What is next for Meraki Student?
We plan to build stronger connections with the Cypriots studying in the UK and help more student this up-and-coming academic year. However, we are committed to expanding our help to students across the world with our recent success. We have been able to help students across the EU as well countries outside such as China, India, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan and many more countries. We will continue to help students find accommodation across the UK and provide the best possible service to our students to ensure they find their perfect student home without any stress.
